Retired as the Regional Director, Western; Central India, IndiaTourist office of the Ministry Of Tourism, Government of India, Mumbai.Have been working in Tourism for almost 4 decades…., started working when tourism was not taught like now, Started my career in 1979 with Maharashtra Tourism …..Got tremendous insight on planning and promotion of domestic tourism. After getting experience of working with private travel company for 2 years, underwent Regional level guide training program but joined in the Govt of India tourist office (as was known then) at Churchgate in 1983, thus the journey with India Tourism with the Central Tourism Ministry began……. Have had postings to Ministry of Tourism Head Quarter in Delhi, in different spells and positions from 1997 to 2018, In the Ministry, looked after work related to tourism policies, planning, infrastructure development, overseas marketing and promotion, budget, new schemes of the Ministry, matters related to HRD in Tourism, assignments to represent India abroad in various International tourism forums and much more. Had an overseas posting to promote India in Singapore from 2006 to 2009. As representative of Indian Tourism  had opportunity to work in ASEAN countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, LAO PDR and Philippines  and other Asian countries around. Experience of working in the Ministry and in the field office is completely different, the kind of confidence, exposure this industry gave is beyond imagination. Have enjoyed every day of my working in tourism …….It has been an incredible journey of Incredible India.
