Mr. Sunil Gupta was the Former CEO of WelcomHeritage Hotels since 2016. WelcomHeritage Hotels. A Brand formulated in 1997, jointly by ITC Hotels Limited and His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh ji .
An Alumni of Hotel management Pusa, New Delhi, he began his career with The Ashok Group of Hotels, gaining experience in operations starting from Assistant Manager and rose up to the position of Banquet Manager, The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. He has been awarded the “Best Banquet Manager” Award by the H&FS Awards in the year 1994. He has also done the Skills Training from the HCITB of London and General Management Programme of Cornell University at Ithaca, USA. Completed Black Belt Six Sigma Training and has contributed in improving the Quality of Training through Sigma levels. In 1995, Mr. Sunil Gupta joined the expanding hotel company, ITC Hotels Limited. Joined as Food and Beverage Manager and rose up to CEO WelcomHeritage Hotels. At WelcomHeritage, Sunil Gupta consolidated the portfolio of Heritage Hotels by evaluating the worthiness of properties which were able match the discerning travellers needs and the brad standards. The unique proposition of each property/ location was gathered and the USP of Unique experiences was highlighted as part of selling. Further the operations were strengthened to ensure the quality. Once the basics were in place, the advantage of technology was put to use by creating a Distribution through Technology, to ensure great experience for guest from reservation to check out. Sunil Gupta also helped in formulating a travel trade association, in the year 2014, for Rajasthan, known as Federation of Hospitality & Tourism for Rajasthan and took responsibility as Honorary Vice President. This organisation, with the support of Rajasthan Government, organised the 6 road shows and Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart for Rajasthan tourism. Sunil Gupta has been engaging and contributing with Hospitality industry forums as President, Co-Chair etc. for the locations he has worked at, namely, Aurangabad Chambers, Gujarat CII Tourism subcommittee, Rajasthan Hotels and Restaurant Association. Now New India Tourism has been formulated to assist the Heritage units with their exposition and selling.
